Lancashire Care - in the top 50 employers

For the second year in a row a Health Care Foundation has been named in the UK Top 50 Employers List. Lancashire Care NHS Foundation was listed for their work in providing a diverse and inclusive workplace.

The NHS Foundation Trust was recognised for commitment to attracting and retaining a diverse workforce. Their efforts have been truly outstanding, say the judges who collated performances.

The panel of judges base their results on the performance of companies in a wide range of areas including recruitment procedures, initial and ongoing training, and other initiatives which are related to equality and diversity.

Project Manager for Equality and Diversity at Lancashire Care, Emma Allen, says that the trust was extremely excited to have made it onto the shortlist for the second year in a row.

The trust is committed to keeping their employees at the heart of everything they do, and being recognised as one of the Top 50 UK Employers showed that their program was indeed working.

Ms Allen went on to say that the Trust valued every individual who was employed there, and worked hard to ensure they were as diverse and inclusive as possible. The goal is to provide equal access and opportunity for all who work there.

Not only was the trust listed for the Top 50 UK Employers, they are also shortlisted for the ‘Head of Diversity and Inclusion’ award.

The Trust says that they appreciate the great privilege to have work recognised for excellence in diversity. Representatives of the Trust said that they were looking forward to the awards ceremony very much.

The official rankings of the top 50 UK Employers are still a closely-guarded secret which will be revealed at the ceremony at the end of November.

Lancashire Care was founded in 2002, and became a Foundation Trust in 2007. The Trust strives to provide health and wellbeing services to the community, with an amount of over 1.5 million people receiving care and support from them.
