Programme Manager - Diversity & Inclusion

Your new company A non-profit membership organisation based Central London are seeking an experienced Programme Manager to support in the delivery of programmes of engagement with employers and professionals in industry concerning Diversity & Inclusion. The requirement is looking for a quick start and is anticipated to be for around 2-3 months while they onboard permanent staff. Your new role Reporting into the Senior Manager of Diversity & Inclusion, as Programme Manager you will be responsible for planning, scoping and/or inception of three new Academy Projects: 1. The first project is in very early stages and for the duration of the interim requirement you will be responsible for a detailed piece of scoping research. This will include exploring potential providers and models available; speaking to internal stakeholders to learn lessons from other similar programmes; consulting with potential stakeholders; and developing recommendations for a model to be adopted. You will also draft a project plan, following the completion of this research. 2. The second project is a more established programme programme which is a Diversity & Inclusion toolkit to support start-ups and scale-ups in embedding inclusive cultures from the outset. You will support this programme by undertaking in-depth market research on potential platforms for the toolkit, ensuring the organisation is up to date on the relevant literature and other platform offerings, designing a trial period, running a tender process and developing a detailed project plan for the next stages of the project. You will also provide progress reports to a steering group of senior stakeholders. 3.The third programme is focused on a D&I champion network. To support this programme you will assist with the development of a list of key stakeholders for engagement with the organisation's developing "Network of Diversity and Inclusion", a key part of the organisation's Diversity and Inclusion Action Plan. This will entail working closely with existing internal and external stakeholders and carrying out some basic further research to draw up a list to be taken forward by the permanent post-holder in due course. What you'll need to succeed To succeed in this role and to impact within its short term duration you will need to be able to demonstrate the following skills:Excellent project design, development and inception skillsExcellent research skillsExperience running procurement processes for service delivery, including in respect of pilot/trial projectsHigh quality written and oral communicationExperience working and communicating with senior stakeholders (e.g. CEOs, government etc.)Some knowledge around D&I and/or leadership programmes would be highly advantageous What you'll get in return This is a temporary position to start asap for 2 to 3 months. The role can be home based currently due to the Covid pandemic, but usually partly based in Central London and it may require occasional to travel to London towards the latter half of its duration for in person meetings or should you wish to work from London offices. The role is paying 18.43ph + holiday pay PAYE (23.00ph Umbrella). An ideal role for someone with an interest in D&I related programmes.
