Vehicle Technician (MOT)

Role: MOT Technician
Location: Wakefield, WF2R
Contract Type: Full Time, Permanent

Hours: 18:00 - 06:00, 4 on 4 off shifts (38.5 per week)
Salary: £29,120 OTE £32,120 (depending on experience)

What will I be doing?

You won't be restricted to a single make or model of vehicle, as an MOT Tester here at CarShop. You will undertake MOT's on various manufacturers' vehicles. You will also have the opportunity be involved in training and mentoring other technicians and apprentices passing on your valuable skills and knowledge.

Also, as an experienced Vehicle Technician, you already know what you are doing but essentially, you will undertake vehicle servicing, fault diagnosis and repairs for our customers. You will be working to targets and KPI's but getting it right is more important to us than getting it done quickly.

What do I need to be successful?

Although a relevant qualification would be beneficial, the main thing we are looking for genuine experience as a Vehicle Technician or Mechanic and a valid MOT certificate is essential for this role, along with a full UK/EU Driving Licence (essential).

You will need to own a stocked toolbox and basic servicing items and be able to use these for work.
