CONTRACT: Full time


A unique opportunity has arisen to join the Commercial & Marketing department at Rangers Football Club within the creative team as Motion Graphic Designer.

At the club we are redefining how we push the future of digital & marketing to provide premium experiences across all fan/supporter touchpoints to drive brand desirability, engagement & revenue. You will be part of a consumer focused, diverse team working in a fast-paced environment. Developing a newly inhouse design agency

We are looking for someone who has an excellent eye for detail, supporting marketing campaigns across all club touchpoints and developing static images through exceptional visual effects bringing to life design creations using animation.

The Motion Graphic Designer will support in the ideation phase in response to the briefs supplied by Senior Creative/Marketing Executives & Senior Marketing Manager right through to execution. The Motion Designer should be skilled with developing the animation and executing into 2D and 3D motion designs with advance knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite & After effects. The Motion Graphic Designer is key to the components of every stage in the creative process, from conceptualization to storyboarding & editing.


  • Fully interpret & develop marketing creative briefs and build thinktanks and ideation phases to plan the creative team process of artwork execution.
  • Work closely with the Graphic Designers, bringing to life their designs and principles through motion.
  • Create high quality edits and animations using Adobe Premiere & Adobe After Effects
  • Work closely with the creative design team within the ideation phase & planning of creative operation.
  • Be able to work as an individual, and part of a team, and meet what are often tight deadlines.
  • Conceptualise and Implement innovative marketing campaigns with animation across the club communications that maximise fan engagement.
  • Be literate in adobe illustration/InDesign and after-effects or such like programmes.
  • Guardianship of the Rangers F.C. Brand. Ensure a consistent & appropriate application of brand assets is applied to all motion graphics across social.
  • Support on delivering brand identity for the club's 150th Anniversary 2022


  • Strong technical skills and proven ability to use a variety of software such as Adobe Premier Pro & Adobe After Effects or 2D/3D animation
  • Ability to articulate concepts and ideas to the wider team or other departments
  • The individual should be skilled at constructivefeedback to make adjustments as needed by the company
  • Build and articulate a storyboard & build motion graphics for animation
  • Key eye for artistic and technical composition, timing and detail.
  • Awareness that project needs can change at any moment, and be able to make changes and edit.
  • Strong portfolio of work
  • Mac/PC user
  • Contribute to maintaining a robust, secure and smooth operational flow including backups, archiving, file structures.
  • Ensure all Motion content channels (Showreels, portfolio pages, idents) are kept up to date.
  • The required technical knowledge and understanding, frame rates and aspect ratios
  • An inventive designer who stays up to date with new design trends in the sports market and beyond
  • Design degree desirable but not essential.
  • The ability to partner with other creative team members and key stakeholders to create content used across a variety of platforms (web, mobile, video, and more)
  • Sports experience desirable but not essential.


  • An ability to work independently and take considered decisions in the best interests of Rangers Football Club
  • A proactive approach with close attention to detail and an ability to ensure the efficient delivery of motion designs in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritise work
  • Fluency in spoken and written English (additional languages are an asset)
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
