The Role:

We are looking for a non-HR Specialist to provide advice and guidance on Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) matters in relation to Programme Delivery only across Major Projects. To provide regular governance and assurance guidance and sign-off for Equality Impact Screening & Assessments and Investment Decision Committee papers across all Major Project schemes for compliance with the Equality Act 2010.

Day to Day:

Ensure our Major Projects, and the programmes and projects within it, achieve full compliance with statutory and organisational governance requirements for business reporting by implementing, maintaining and regularly reviewing systems, mechanisms and processes for performance management, reporting and delivery.

Provide flexible support to deliver discreet projects and work streams to time and quality within budgetary targets; supporting the implementation of corporate initiatives.

Embed a strong customer centred ethos through efficient practice and visible, effective liaison with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely and effective flow of reporting and information.

Establish and maintain proactive business support to deliver informed reporting to agreed deadlines.

To work with relevant stakeholders to ensure that new regulation and legislation is properly embedded into Company processes.

About you:

Evidence of strong stakeholder engagement skills.

Experience of managing change and / or improvement activities in a complex administrative environment.

Ability to work under pressure to ensure delivery of high quality results to tight timescales.

Experience of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word and Powerpoint is essential.

Experience and knowledge of the Equality Act 2010 and the Public Sector Equality Duty is desirable.

Strong organisational management and written/verbal communication skills and presentational skills.

Ability to work with minimum supervision.

Knowledge, experience and passion of the Equality, Diversity & Inclusion subject matter, or a similar specialist subject matter.
