Our client is currently seeking an Inclusion Officer to join their newly formed Business Improvement team based in Rochdale. The purpose of this role is to ensure that all business change is focussed on achieving excellence in customer service and is informed by the diverse needs and aspirations of their customers and employees.

Within this role your responsibilities will include developing monitoring which evidences compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements in respect of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (ED&I); researching guidance, legislation and good practice in relation to ED&I ensuring that it is transferred into operational practice which improves service delivery; representing the organisation on working groups / forums relating to ED&I and facilitating partnership working with other agencies where necessary.

Above all, they're looking for someone who is passionate about ensuring fair access for all to homes, services and job opportunities. Someone who understands how positive action can be used to enhance the lives of those who are most disadvantaged.

The successful candidate will have an awareness of ED&I legislation and best practice and will have the ability to prepare and deliver training sessions and presentations to small groups along with facilitating service review/improvement sessions involving colleagues and customers. You must be capable of writing clear and concise reports which set out the findings from research or surveys and make recommendations based on them. As such, you must also have sufficient skills to analyse and present data. You will understand the importance of confidentiality and be able to implement this into your daily work. You should also have an awareness and empathy of the social issues that might impact upon their customers.
