Home based with national travel

The role
Reporting to the Director of People and sitting as part of the People Leadership Team you join us during a period of exciting growth. In this influential role you will work autonomously to drive change whilst positively shaping the way we think and work across our shops, care centres and offices andlead us in developing an inclusive culture that supports our vision, strategic objectives and operational priorities.

Responsibilities include:
• To drive a shift in the working culture of the Charity that supports our internal and external employer brand.
• To build on and enhance our existing values and behaviours in order to promote a positive and professional environment where staff and volunteers are included and respected, feel engaged and their wellbeing is supported.
• To lead on the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) agenda in respect of staff and volunteers, maximising the benefits that a proactive approach to EDI can bring the organisation and our service users.
• To develop and embed an Employee Wellbeing strategy to ultimately enhance engagement and productivity levels and reduce absence.

About you
It\'s an exciting time to join Sue Ryder and to be successful in the role you will have a proven track record in delivering culture or behavioural change. With an extensive understanding of legislation and best practice around Diversity & Inclusion you will use your experience to influence at board and senior management level. The ability to embed a new strategy within a complex, multi-site organisation that is geographically spread is a key driver to success.

Experience and Skills
• Experience of implementing Diversity initiatives and managing multiple stakeholders
• Excellent project management skills, and ability to manage multiple projects/streams of activity
• Resilient and able to challenge and persuade senior stakeholders in the face of resistance
• Comfortable working within a rapidly changing environment and dealing positively with ambiguity
• Excellent team-working skills with a proactive, enthusiastic and \"hands-on\" approach

This role is based from home with a national remit. We are open to conversations regarding flexible working arrangements.
