Equality Diversity Inclusion Manager (6month FTC)

As an EDI Manager at HS2 you will be part of the Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Team within the Organisational Effectiveness & Change Directorate. The EDI team is responsible for overseeing delivery of equality, diversity and inclusion across HS2. The objective of the role is to ensure that HS2 maximises its contribution to equalities, is an exemplar in meeting its statutory duties to promote equalities and integrates equality, diversity and inclusion in its workforce, planning, design, construction and operation of the HS2 project.

About the role:
  • Be an HS2 'ambassador' for equality, diversity and inclusion both internally and to external stakeholders
  • Contribute to the design and implementation HS2 Ltd's EDI Strategy and action plans
  • Manage the roll out of the corporate EDI training programme
  • To provide advice and guidance on EDI workforce matters for Internal stakeholders
  • To manage EDI steering groups and associated action plans
  • To develop EDI initiatives e.g. Staff Diversity Networks
  • To undertake Equality Analyses
  • To develop and deliver training & guidance

  • Knowledge of equality law & best practice approaches
  • Knowledge of Inclusive recruitment practice
  • Knowledge of EDI products, services and consultancy providers
  • Experience of developing and implementing EDI policies and initiatives
  • Experience of Equality Analysis (Equality Impact Assessment)

It is expected that you will actively promote and embed Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) in all your work and support and comply with all organisational initiatives, policies and procedures on EDI.
