About the role

To work with the Diversity and Inclusion Director to ensure the successful delivery of the RICS Diversity and Inclusion Strategy and positioning of RICS as a leading force in this area. To support with understanding and responding to global inspiring the next generation activities and initiatives.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

* Act as frontline liaison point for member and staff enquiries related to Diversity and Inclusion; taking responsibility for accurate and timely actions in line with the RICS standards.
* Manage national and international diversity, inclusion and inspiration events.
* Be responsible for delegated areas of the Diversity and Inclusion strategy delivery plan. Identifying opportunities to raise the profile of RICS as a thought leader within diversity and inclusion, whilst engaging RICS professionals.
* Support development and dissemination of the IEQM, enabling firms and universities to sign up to the mark. Lead diversity data refresh campaigns, transparently reporting on gaps and progress to employers and stakeholders.
* Create and coordinate diversity and inclusion communications including providing best practice information and support through the Diversity Hub and production of a monthly newsletter.
* Organising regional diversity lunches which promote and celebrate D&I activities by RICS, firms and professionals.
* Assisting in researching global education systems and capacity for inspiring the next generation engagement to be undertaken.
* Researching and writing reports related to apprenticeships in the UK providing a more diverse route to surveying.
* Contribute to the development of office systems and data management processes, in order to implement and maintain effective benchmarking and reporting tools.

About the candidate

* Networking and interpersonal skills; particularly in bringing groups of firms and professionals together.
* Excellent project planning and organisational skills with a strong attention to detail and experience of influencing project stakeholders to deliver on time.
* The ability to prioritise a busy workload to ensure deadlines are met.
* Skilled to at least intermediate level in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook), a good knowledge of Adobe Design packages (Acrobat and InDesign), along with a sound working knowledge of intranet content management systems.
* Excellent data analysis and ability to present complex data simply, highlighting key messages, trends and recommendations.
* Strong writing skills with a flair for creating highly engaging communications.
* A strong interest in, and experience of, diversity, inclusion and promotion of careers.
* Experience of organising events with good project management and logistics skills.
* Willing and able to travel and work flexible hours to meet the needs of the business within the UK and wider, as and when required.
