Are you passionate about Diversity and Inclusion? Do you enjoy organising events and being in a client facing role? If so, this well regarded international law firm in the City are looking for a Corporate Responsibility and Diversity Assistant to join their team.

The objective of this role is to provide high level support to the firm\'s CR & Diversity Manager and be pivotal in ensuring a seamless delivery on all CR initiatives and delivery of the Corporate Responsibility and Diversity and Inclusion strategy.

Key responsibilities will be:

  • Working with the Corporate Responsibility & Diversity Manager and the marketing communications team to raise the function\'s profile in London and build an international network;
  • Managing relationships with Community Champions to help promote the various CR activities in the London office and leading the quarterly meetings.
  • Working with a senior associate to co-ordinate pro bono work.
  • Taking ownership of various CR initiatives (e.g. work experience programmes, reading partners, Lawyers in School programme, Oxfam Collects at work and many others), sourcing volunteers where necessary.
  • Managing the relationship with the firm\'s nominated charity, assisting in co-coordinating Fundraising activities.
  • Working with external charities to co-ordinate volunteering activities and assisting team-leaders in setting up (including ordering materials, completing risk assessments etc).
  • Maintaining the London office diversity training tracker.
  • Assisting in the ongoing review of policies and procedures.
  • This role has the scope for the successful candidate to initiate and implement new ideas in London and globally and help drive the Diversity and Inclusion function forward.

The Successful Applicant

  • Previous experience within corporate responsibility, preferably within a professional services environment.
  • Experience in the legal sector is desirable but not essential.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Proactive and positive approach to problem solving.
  • A client-focused approach to their work, including internal and external clients.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to deal with people at all levels
  • Commercially aware, robust and with a professional outlook.
  • Good use of own initiative.
  • Determination, discretion and tact as well as a strong sense of personal pride and responsibility for delivering a first class service.

This is a full time permanent role and is part of a lovely HR Team in a successful international law firm, offering good future progression opportunities. The salary is Circa £30,000, but it\'s worth discussing salary expectations.
