The role holder will be responsible for establishing and evolving the portal â€\" a curated Women’s Portal on Barclays Now, developed specifically for individual female colleagues and line managers, which will be the central golden source of information, events and learning and development opportunities for women at Barclays. Designed to complement the gender agenda pages, on the Diversity and Inclusion portal, this site was launched in February 2018 and will over time showcase all the resources and opportunities that we offer women at Barclays, alongside new specific content that addresses their needs and ideas. To provide Women and Barclays access to the best inspiration, help or support with their personal work/life or career progression

Your Role
  • Day to day maintenance of the site; responsible for regularly uploading new content, ensuring accuracy of existing content and removing redundant content
  • Establish a content generation strategy to ensure remains a fresh and engaging resource for colleagues. Content to include but not limited to internal case studies, video, interviews, blog, polls and all relevant external literature.
  • Chair an editorial board, whose role is to support in the identification of relevant content and updates and which comprises a diverse range of stakeholders from across Barclays.
  • Lead on the production of high quality copy across the portal
  • Establish and maintain a content library
  • Leverage feedback and available analytics to identify how portal should evolve
  • Lead on social and collaborative initiatives hosted on portal
  • Work closely with Corporate Communications HR Employee Communications to ensure alignment for colleagues.


Essential Skills
  • Excellent writing skills; able to create high quality copy and impactful communications
  • Proactive and resourceful with a desire to own the initiative and drive it forward.
  • Collaborative, listens and engages with all levels of the organisation.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills. Ability to build and maintain an organisation wide network which ensures relevant content features on Management of editorial board responsible for content generation.


Desirable Skills
  • A passion for gender issues; an awareness of current literature and thinking and a drive to stay abreast.
  • Awareness of Brand Guidelines
  • Competent in use of Photoshop
  • Willingness to learn how to use and edit on Barclays Now
