We are delighted to be partnering with Bar Standards Board to recruit their new Policy and Programme Manager. Reporting to the Head of Equality and Access to Justice, the successful candidate will provide strategic input into the Equality and Diversity strategy and Equality agenda.The Bar Standards Board regulates barristers, setting education and training requirements to become a barrister as well as setting standards of conduct. The placed candidate will play a key role in managing the Equality and Diversity programme ensuring all project action points will be delivered within the agreed time-scale while also supporting the management of the project teams. In addition to monitoring impact and analysis, you will deliver events, focus groups, discussions, and seminars supporting the overall framework of the programme. The placed candidate will provide high-level executive support to the Leadership Programme Board preparing agendas, papers and briefs as well as attending meetings as and when required. You will also have the opportunity to assist teams across the organisation with implementing and embedding their equality and diversity plans. To be considered for this role it is essential to have proven experience of delivering programmes ideally relating to Equality and Diversity. You are required to have experience of risk awareness, monitoring and analysis as well as event management and report writing. This role requires someone with who can work at a strategic level, with the ability to have an excellent impact and influence on others. An understanding of the legal sector will be essential for this role particularly relating to equality and diversity. This position is ideally suited to someone with excellent communication skills with experience of developing and overseeing policies including drafting consultation papers, briefings, and articles.
