Salary: £27,668 per annum

Contract: Permanent, working 35 hours per week

Location: Any one of the Arts Council offices in Newcastle, Leeds, Manchester, Birmingham, Nottingham, Cambridge, Bristol or Brighton (we are currently working from home, but expect to return to office-based working later in 2021)

Arts Council England is seeking a talented, inclusive, and collaborative Diversity Officer to provide secretarial support to internal working groups looking to advance equality and diversity internally and externally. This Diversity and Inclusion full-time role comes with a generous salary of £27,668.

The Diversity Officer will support the Director and Senior Managers in the Diversity team in developing Arts Council England's response to our corporate equality objectives, including supporting colleagues completing equality analyses of our funding programmes and policy development work.

If you were already in this hugely exciting Diversity Equality & Inclusion role, here are some of the activities you'd have been involved in last week:

Supporting the Diversity Director and Senior Managers to develop and maintain an on-going system of reporting

Assisting the Director and Senior Managers to ensure there is an effective monitoring system in place to ensure critical equality and diversity work is delivered on time and key milestones are met

Collaborating with colleagues working in other teams to ensure they are effectively embedding our equality objectives

Providing secretariat support to internal equality and diversity working groups

Combining your ability to influence the development of our equality and diversity work with an ability to analyse diverse data and prepare briefings for the Director of Diversity

In this Diversity and inclusion role, you will also work closely with the National Diversity team supporting the delivery of our corporate equality objectives and leads for specific policy areas, e.g. Data Reporting, HR, and our Investment Centre. You will be liaising closely with staff across the organisation, including Senior Relationship Managers and Relationship Managers, to ensure the organisation understands and responds to our equality and diversity agenda.
