Manager, International Diversity Equity Inclusion / IDL

Our Global Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (GDEI) team is responsible for the enterprise-wide DE&I strategy and ensuring that each of the company's global markets, across the three-legged stool, are supported in a culturally sensitive way that mitigates reputational risk. Advancing DEI is recognized as a business imperative, and as a result, there is an immediate need to support the three market segments: International Operated Markets (IOM), which are comprised of wholly-owned markets, or countries in which the McDonald's operates restaurants, International Operated Markets - Business Unit (IOM BU), which are comprised of smaller markets that are wholly-owned, and International Developmental Licensed Markets (IDLM), which are markets where McDonald's has licensed its franchising rights to strategic partners. Reporting into the Senior Director for International DEI, three managers in newly built roles, one for IOM, one for IOM BU, and one for IDLM will work closely in a collaborative environment. Reporting into the Senior Director for International DEI, the Manager in this role will support the IDLM segment business unit People Leads (Asia, Europe, Latin America, and Middle East/Africa) and coach them in how to work with their IDLM partners to assess their DE&I strategies against the McDonald's GDEI enterprise-wide strategy and the journey of each IDLM partner to become an industry leader. Additionally, the Manager will be responsible for coaching each IDLM People Lead regarding how DEI presents in the different markets and provide advice on how they can assist the markets in using data in conjunction with the strategy to build market-specific plans. In addition, this Manager will support the People Leads on strategies for how the IDLM partners can activate the plans and assess progress.

The selected candidate will be responsible for the following:

* Counsel the business unit People Leads on how to craft and support IDL market-level DEI strategic plans based upon scientifically validated benchmarks and IDL market-level research

* Assist the IDLM partners' DEI strategies in appropriately reflecting the McDonald's GDEI strategic plan

* Support People Leads and their IDLM partners on how to conduct DEI assessments, create DEI metrics and evaluate DEI interventions

* Work with People Leads to create strategies with their IDLM partners to effectively manage and use key external strategic partnerships to support their DEI strategic plans

* Work with business unit People Leads, other cross-functional partners, and the key IDLM partners to build local DEI narratives
