Learning Advisor - Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI)
Location: Moorgate, London
Contract type: Fixed term until December 2019
Hours per week: 35
Salary: GBP 30,000 - 34,000 per annum (including London weighting)
A unique opportunity to develop, manage and integrate the delivery of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion learning at national level to meet organisational strategy requirements.
What you will be doing
The role of EDI Learning Advisor is critical to the implementation of an organisation wide 2 Inclusion and Diversity Strategy which are to be delivered via 7 dedicated workstreams; data and reporting, engagement and communications, building and IT accessibility, policies and equality impact assessments, leadership and learning, resourcing and international programmes.
This Learning Advisor will manage the development, delivery and integration of EDI learning into the organisation\'s core offer and lead the Leadership and Learning workstream also.
Who you will work with
The central Diversity team, within the Organisation Development and Diversity Department, consists of the Diversity and Inclusion Manager, two Diversity Development Officers, as well as occasional fixed term specialist staff working on focused projects.
This currently includes staff to oversee the delivery of a new organisation wide Inclusion Diversity Strategy and a part-time role to introduce an Equality Impact Assessment process. The Red Cross also has a \'Diversity Group\', a consultative body of staff and volunteers from across the UK, a number of diversity networks (BAME, Disability, LGBT+) and a senior level Inclusion and Diversity Steering Group to drive work in this area.
What we are looking for
We are looking for a driven, self-starter with an in-depth knowledge and understanding of Learning and Development interventions and with functional knowledge of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion.
You will have experience of planning, developing and delivering EDI Learning and Development interventions as well as facilitating and presenting to diverse groups.
The ability to prepare and present reports and written communications as required, to analyse, interpret and generate insight from a range of data sources as well as being able to work and communicate confidentially with senior and diverse stakeholders is also a prerequisite.
