A Head of Strategic Inclusion and Diversity is required for a permanent role paying up to £60,120.68 per annum with British Transport Police (BTP).

BTP is the national police Force for the rail network throughout Great Britain, including London Underground, across which we ensure the safety and security of nearly 3 billion passenger journeys and over 100 million tons of freight every year. The world in which we work is fast-paced, operationally and commercially demanding, and constantly changing. As Head of Strategic Inclusion and Diversity with BTP you will lead our national approach to Equality, Diversity & Inclusion.

The work location is flexible, and home working can be facilitated, although some attendance will be required across BTP's national sites and for face to face events and meetings.

As Head of Strategic Inclusion and Diversity you will be required to:

* To ensure we are proactive and progressive in our approach to Equality, Diversity & Inclusion considerations and the needs of the diverse workforce that we employ.

* To ensure that BTP remains an employer of choice.

* Take the strategic lead on equality projects focused on achieving culture change across the organisation.

* Oversee a progressive approach to tackling workforce under-representation.

The successful Head of Strategic Inclusion and Diversity will be required to evidence the following:

* Experience of leading on Equality, Diversity and Inclusion activity.

* Thorough knowledge of equality and diversity and sources of potential/actual discrimination in employment.

* Working knowledge of equality, diversity and human rights legislation, case studies and best practice.
