Head of Inclusion, Diversity and Wellbeing

Our client is a well-known building society with headquarters in Swindon; As one of the largest savings and mortgage providers in the UK, 15 million members are at the heart of everything they do.

On behalf of this organisation, AMS are looking for a Head of Inclusion, Diversity and Wellbeing for a 6 month contract based remotely.

Purpose of the Role:

  • This role is within the People and Culture community, which is responsible for supporting our clients people and ensuring they create a culture and environment to enable the Society's objectives of building a stronger, kinder and greener society. Reporting to the People Strategy and Propositions Director, you'll be part of the People Strategy leadership. You will lead a small team of inclusion, diversity and wellbeing professionals who work collaboratively with the wider People Strategy team and People and Culture community, as well as inclusion partners and wellbeing champions across the Society, to achieve our clients strategy and mission

As a The Head of Inclusion, Diversity and Wellbeing you will be responsible for:

  • Influencing and inspiring leaders to use data and insights to inform decisions and drive positive action across the organisation
  • Delivering and continuing to evolve our 3-5 year inclusion strategy to ensure we target propositions and action in the areas that will help us achieve our ambitions and in support of the Society's Future of Work Strategy, values and purpose
  • Increase accountability among leaders and all business areas to meaningfully impact the agenda, through challenge, feedback and strong performance goals
  • Reviewing all processes, policies and experiences across the People and Culture community to identify areas to mitigate bias and to enhance our ability to achieve our inclusion, diversity and wellbeing ambitions, as well as in line with our organisational values
  • Lead the inclusion, diversity and wellbeing team, setting the vision, empowering and energising your people to work at their full potential and as a team of industry-leading professionals

What we require from the candidate:

  • Experience of working in Inclusion, Diversity and Wellbeing
  • Has experience of implementing operational change
  • Worked in a senior HR IDW role

IR35 Status: This role has been assessed as inside of IR35.
