£19.00-£22.85 PAYE per hour

£21.29 -£25.14 paye inclusive of holiday pay per hour

£24.00-£29.00 umbrella per hour

All of the rates are depending on skill and experience.

Working Days and Hours: 37.5 hours a week

Job Description

Specialist service for children and adolescents and their families, who are experiencing difficulties in the development of gender identity. This may include children who are unhappy about their own biological sex and wish to belong to the other one (or identify with another gender identity) and children with a disorder of sex development if there are concerns about their gender identity development. The Service also offers counselling to children of transgender parents or parents with other gender identity issues.


Project Management

* Modify and apply relevant project management theories and principles, such as those from PRINCE2 and Agile PM.

* Apply key specialist health Project Management tools, such as those developed by NHS Improvement

* Maintain a good understanding of new concepts in project management and the potential for their application

* The post holder does not carry out any line manager function and will be expected to manage several large project budgets and planning.

* Undertake the management of national scale projects, tasks setting up, scheduling and prioritisation, including supporting senior management staff

* Independently work to shape and manage project deliverables; choose and manage project direction and actions to be undertaken.

* Manage project logistics, including collecting/inputting data, filing and sending out project files to various stakeholders

* Identify complex risks and maintain project issue and risk logs; plan risk mitigation actions

* Work independently and proactively, making complex decisions and taking a creative approach to solving complex problems;

* Make routine project presentations on a regular basis

* Maintain files related to projects for documentation, presentation and clarification to management

* Develop and manage GIDS databases, including collecting, updating, maintaining and storing records

* Develop and maintain intelligence base to support the delivery of the projects and other GIDS activities

* Conduct primary research as part of projects; interpret data, identify and elucidate upon themes; develop and use bespoke analysis tools.

* Carry out web based and publications research when require

Skills, Experience and Qualifications;

* First Degree qualification or equivalent

* Project management qualification or demonstrable equivalent experience

* Excellent skills in using Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint to produce reports, manage databases, make routine presentations and write correspondence

* Ability to professionally communicate business complex, sensitive and highly contentious information with a range of internal and external stakeholders at all levels

* Ability to influence others and negotiate to ensure adherence to deadlines and delivery of tasks

* Ability to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders and managing enquiries

* Ability to write in an accurate and articulate manner and the confidence to work alongside and chase information from colleagues and associates

* Ability to work within the team

* Experience in a project management role or equivalent

* Experience of using a range of software for entering project data, producing reports, spreadsheets and correspondence

* Knowledge and experience of the full range of secretarial and administrative procedures and systems
