Who are we looking for?

The Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Partner is the technical expert on EDI and is responsible for coordinating and overseeing delivery of UKAEA's Being Inclusive Strategy. On behalf of senior management, they are responsible for prioritising UKAEA's EDI budget and resources, ensuring that attention is focused in the most effective and appropriate areas. They are also responsible for advising on policies and strategies designed to ensure that UKAEA, its staff and stakeholders engage with legislative and strategic duties and align with good practice. The Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Partner will ensure that all protected characteristics are supported.

We are looking for an individual with extensive knowledge of equality, diversity and inclusion, managing budgetary and resource priorities and leading and inspiring internal stakeholders to deliver the strategy and action plan.

As our EDI Partner you are passionate about making positive changes and using your expertise to create an inclusive working culture. You will be an excellent communicator with strong influencing and leadership skills to foster cross-functional collaboration.

What will you be responsible for?

· Driving forward delivery of UKAEA's Being Inclusive Strategy, ensuring support of internal stakeholders at all levels

· Ensuring that budget and resource are focused on UKAEA's priorities

· Engaging with the organisation to promote and raise awareness of equality and diversity activities, initiatives, and achievements

· Supporting and leading UKAEA's Inclusion Ambassadors and EDI Networks, ensuring that their work is aligned to the Being Inclusive Strategy

· Preparing and delivering training, presentations and workshops internally

· Ensuring that EDI concerns and issues are managed effectively and confidentially.

· Ensuring that policies and procedures are in line with legislation and good practice.
