Kingston University have undergone a remarkable transformation programme, including significant investment into refurbishment across all campuses (a brand-new building has just opened at their Penrhyn road site) in addition to a new, forward-thinking people strategy. The HR directorate is evolving in line with this strategy and remains committed to delivering an exceptional learning experience for students; this includes an ambitious and vital Diversity agenda for both students and staff.

Your new role
You will be joining the Organisational Effectiveness team, reporting into an Organisational Effectiveness Manager and working in key partnership with senior leaders including the HR Director and Deputy VC. Your overarching role will be to design and embed innovative EDI approaches and consistent ways of working, which support and strengthen the University\'s commitment to EDI, in alignment with the overall strategic objectives.

Inclusion will be at the forefront; utilising equality champions, committees, networks and your HR colleagues, you will strive to celebrate and promote inclusive practices and wellbeing activities across teams and faculties, whilst leveraging any local or national opportunities. You will ensure that EDI is paramount in attracting and nurturing talent across Kingston and threaded into all aspects of the employee lifecycle, in hand with embedding a culture that encourages the upmost engagement in EDI interventions.

Furthermore, you will drive submission requirements and action plans for various programmes including Athena SWAN and the Race Equality Charter.

What you\'ll need to succeed
To be successful in your application, you will be an experienced EDI practitioner with skills in organisational development, culture change and project management. As an individual you will be diagnostic with the ability to translate data into sound recommendations and track tangible improvements. Ideally, you will have worked in a complex, public sector environment (Higher Education experience would be advantageous).
