Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Manager - Part Time

Description:

The Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (ED&I) Manager is responsible for setting the business strategy to drive improvements in ED&I that will result in positive and lasting cultural change at MTREL, and that has the potential to influence the wider rail industry.

You will interact, influence and engage with external bodies, as well as employees at all levels of the organisation, to develop and implement initiatives to promote equality of opportunity and create an inclusive culture. By working with and enabling the communities in which we live and work, you will contribute to MTREL becoming a more inclusive and diverse employer.

You will be empowered to develop, drive and implement a robust strategy, supporting the Managing Director, Executive Team and Senior HR Leadership team to effectively drive change across the organisation. Through the successful implementation of impactful ED&I initiatives (developed in line with business objectives), you will drive awareness of and build engagement around key diversity-related issues, contributing to a more open and inclusive culture.

By keeping abreast of relevant external and industry trends and, where appropriate, exploring how these could be implemented by MTREL, you will add strength to our employer brand.

To be considered you will need to have/be:

  • A proven track record of developing and implementing ED&I strategies, leading and embedding cultural change and building strong relationships with colleagues and external organisations
  • A confidential and thoughtful approach to potentially sensitive situations
  • Confident operating at all levels within the organisation
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills
  • Complex problem solving
  • In-depth knowledge of diversity best practices, concepts and programmes, and the ability to define and deliver diversity and inclusion results.

Familiar with the legal matters related to diversity, equality and inclusion
