Diversity Development Officer

£25,000 - 30,000 per annum (plus London weighting if applicable)



This is a critical role in supporting the organisation to achieve its diversity ambitions outlined in the new Inclusion and Diversity Strategy framework by providing Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) expertise to a number of workstreams.

What you will be doing
As the Diversity Development Officer, you will be responsible for researching, developing and delivering EDI programmes to meet and anticipate organisation needs as well as support and provide expert advice on wider diversity initiatives championed by the team and wider organisation.

You will provide EDI specialist support to integrate EDI considerations across the British Red Cross including into training modules, routes into the organisation as well as opportunities for development.

You will work closely with key stakeholders (including People Business Partners, leaders and managers across the organisation) to determine priorities and needs in defined areas producing communications that will support engagement with EDI activity and increase understanding of benefits, progress and issues.

You will also manage the collation of data to track the implementation of the Inclusion and Diversity Strategy against agreed objectives

What we are looking for:
With Equality, Diversity and Inclusion functional knowledge, including current trends and practice in EDI; you will have:
* The ability to analyse large volumes of information gathered through a variety of sources
* The ability to lead a project from conception to evaluation
* The ability to write a formal report and present a formal presentation
* The ability to demonstrate an appreciation of anti-discriminatory practice and the promotion of diversity
* Experience of design and delivery of EDI interventions
* Experience of developing a strategic approach to programmes and project planning and delivery
