The Role

An opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to join the Corporate Responsibility team who will help us to deliver on our Diversity and Inclusion strategy for the FCA.

We are looking for an individual who has experience in leading programmes where Diversity & Inclusion is integrated into all aspects of a business to create a diverse and inclusive workplace that is free from discrimination and bias.

What does the role involve? What are the key responsibilities?

  • Manage the FCA\'s Network Group Strategy to align with the FCA\'s Mission, supporting our people to engage with making us a Diverse and Inclusive Organisation.
  • Ensure that Network Groups leverage their position as strategic influencers and partners and showcase their work effectively.
  • Work in collaboration with the Communications Team to deliver the Network Group communications plan.
  • Manage annual budget and regular forecasts for Network Group activities.
  • Ensure governance for Network Groups and Divisional Groups is fit for purpose, clear and accessible and aligns to our wider D&I priorities. This includes managing the activity of the D&I Advisory Group forum to ensure high levels of engagement and alignment with FCA CR Strategy.
  • Ensure that divisional Working Groups have a common framework to feedback and interface with the wider CR Strategy, and that activity is measured and reported effectively.
  • Support the delivery of the FCA CR and Diversity and Inclusion objectives through working with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Embed intersectionality as a key component of our D&I strategy.
  • Manage allocated corporate D&I memberships to ensure we achieve value for money.
  • Develop a Learning and Development Strategy/Framework for the whole of our CR Function - Sustainability/Diversity & Inclusion/Community Engagement.
  • Partner as CR Liaison with allocated Network Groups.
  • Oversight of our FCA D&I mentoring programmes, including leading on our reverse mentoring scheme.
  • Knowledge management - creation of a portal of resources and information that will enable internal customers and stakeholders to access key D&I Research and information to assist with implementation of best practice.
  • Represent the FCA CR Team at internal and external events as required.
  • Work on ad hoc projects to support delivery of the FCA\'s D&I strategy.

Skills/Experience Required

  • Experience of developing and leading Diversity and Inclusion/Network Group programmes/strategies.

  • Excellent communication and engagement skills. This includes the ability to communicate confidently and credibly, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Ability to develop strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to pick up a new role quickly and apply existing knowledge and skills in a new environment.
  • Self-motivated and able to take initiative and demonstrate resourcefulness.
  • Drive and commitment as well as a desire to contribute significantly to Corporate Responsibility and Diversity & Inclusion.
  • Presentation skills with experience of delivering to a range of audiences and levels of seniority.
  • Highly organised with attention to detail and experience of leading projects.
  • Displays the FCA values.
  • Experience in using and developing tools to measure the impact of Network Group Activity.
  • Good understanding of D&I learning and development activity.


  • Experience of working with Network Groups and Diversity & Inclusion Working Groups.
  • Experience of participating in Corporate Responsibility benchmarking activities.
  • Project management experience/ training.

The Corporate Responsibility team reports into the Chief Operating Officer and is responsible for the strategic management of the FCA\'s aspirations in Diversity & Inclusion, Community Engagement and Sustainability. The team of 7 collaborates closely with a wide range of FCA stakeholders, both inside and outside the organisation, to influence the organisation\'s corporate responsibility culture and strategy.

Useful Information

This role is graded Senior Associate (COR E)

The salary range will be approximately £45,000 - £58,000 GBP plus a competitive benefits package and non-contributory pension
