The Role

An opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to join the Corporate Responsibility (CR) team and lead on the delivery of our internal Diversity and Inclusion strategy for the FCA.

The Corporate Responsibility team is part of the Human Resources function and is responsible for the strategic management and delivery of the FCA's aspirations in Diversity & Inclusion and Community Engagement. The small team collaborates closely with a wide range of FCA stakeholders, both internal and external, to influence the organisation's corporate responsibility culture and strategy.

What does the role involve? What are the key responsibilities?

  • Lead the working level development and implementation of the FCA's Diversity and Inclusion Strategy, coordinating inputs from the project team and wider FCA, overseeing the development of interventions into a cohesive strategy, supporting the HoD reporting to ExCO, HR SLT and EDC on progress, and ensuring practical and effective implementation is achieved within the agreed timeline
  • Lead on the development of a more cohesive and strategic internal D&I communications strategy, that is aligned to the refreshed D&I strategy, working closely with communications colleagues and broader HR SLT
  • Contribute to the development of internal D&I data and reporting, including a new tableau-based D&I dashboard, monitoring and evaluation mechanisms for the refreshed D&I Strategy and updated self-declaration diversity questions in Workday, working closely with the D&I Reporting Associate, HR MI data team, Transformation team and other data inputs
  • Lead on the development of internal D&I Governance, working with HR SLT, EDC, DIAG and coordinating the CR associates supporting the networks and divisional groups, to ensure we have an effective framework with clear accountabilities and strong delivery mechanism for the refreshed D&I strategy
  • Coordinate the inputs and lead the drafting of the Annual Diversity Report (ADR), and CR contributions to the Annual Report and Business Plan. Ensure the ADR is fit for external publication

The role also involves:
  • Supporting other members of the team develop their D&I experience through coaching and day-to-day work direction
  • Supporting the delivery of the FCA CR and Diversity and Inclusion objectives through working with internal and external stakeholders
  • Represent the FCA CR Team at internal and external events as required

Skills/Experience Required

Minimum

We're a signatory to the Government's Disability Confident scheme.   • Significant experience of developing and delivering Diversity and Inclusion strategies and interventions to ensure D&I is integrated into all aspects of a business to create a diverse and inclusive workplace that is free from discrimination and bias
  • Significant experience coordinating people and inputs into complex pieces of work and producing coherent, practical reports and plans
  • Experience of engaging with senior organisational stakeholders, building confidence and trust
  • Excellent written communication skills, able to write professional and succinct reports

Essential

  • Able to work independently, with minimum direction for seniors on most aspects of job responsibilities. Self-motivated and able to take initiative and demonstrate resourcefulness
  • Drive and commitment as well as a desire to contribute significantly to Corporate Responsibility and Diversity & Inclusion
  • Experience of developing D&I data, and its importance in progressing D&I work
  • Experience of evaluating D&I interventions and projects and measuring success
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Ability to develop strong working relationships with senior internal and external stakeholders and gain trust and confidence
  • Proven ability to pick up a new role quickly and apply existing knowledge and skills in a new environment
  • Presentation skills with experience of delivering to a range of audiences and levels of seniority
  • Highly organised with attention to detail
  • Displays the FCA values

Desirable

  • Experience leading the development of D&I communication strategies

  • This role is graded as Senior Associate - COR E
  • The salary range will be approximately £42,000 to £75,000 plus a competitive benefits package and non-contributory pension
