A full-time Equality and Diversity Project Officer is required to work on a Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics project. The role will involves project administration, research, analysis and report writing.

In STEM subjects, it is vitally important that women are adequately represented in what has traditionally been, and is still, a male-dominated area. Science cannot reach its full potential unless it can benefit from the talents of the whole population, and until women and men can benefit equally from the opportunities it affords.

Based within the Colleges of Engineering, Mathematics and Physical Sciences and Life and Environmental Sciences (and working with representatives across the University), this post provides an opportunity to assist the University in its commitment to supporting students and staff to work and study in an environment that is free from discrimination and promotes equality of opportunity to women. This is specifically working towards recognised status, for the University and STEM disciplines, with Athena Swan, Project Juno and other similar initiatives relating to STEM subjects.
