Healthcare organisation based in the Home Counties seeks to appoint a high calibre individual to oversee the implementation of the Equality Delivery System across the organisation, working effectively in partnership with other NHS organisations.
Main Responsibilities:
• The development and publication of a robust and compliant equality and diversity action plan and appropriate performance measures, aligned with the organisation’s strategic objectives and the Equality Delivery System.
• The development and improvement of internal processes and systems that ensure the organisation’s ability to analyse the equality impact of its policies, processes and operations on the local community and the workforce.
• Achievement of performance goals against the Equality Delivery System action plan.
• To ensure that service planning and development is undertaken in line with requirements for equality impact assessments and that effective governance processes are in place for this.
Candidates must possess:
• An extensive E&D background, preferably within the NHS or alternatively someone that has a strong knowledge of public sector working
• Minimum of 3 years NHS / Social Care experience at a senior level (or demonstrable experience equivalent to this level)
• Exceptional project management skills and a track record of delivering and driving through results
• A high level of expertise in the E&D field and a strong understanding of the latest legislative and good practice requirements
• Experience of procurement and managing budgets and staff
• Effective communication skills and the ability to engage, involve and work with all stakeholder groups
• Efficient IT and system skills, able to present, produce and develop information and materials in a way that can be understood by a diverse group
• Proven influencing and negotiation skills
