The Equality & Diversity Unit within the Governance and Legal Affairs Management Team aims to embed equality and diversity into every aspect of the College's activity and ensure compliance with legislation. We are seeking to recruit an experienced Equalities Officer to work closely with the Equalities Manager to deliver these objectives.
Your tasks will include assisting in the implementation of strategic equality initiatives, designing and delivering training, conducting research and collating and analysing data, preparing reports, guidance and policy documents, and providing advice and guidance to staff and students. A particular focus of the role will be on working with the College's departments and schools, under the direction of the Equalities Manager, to prepare applications for Athena SWAN awards and take forward the College's commitment to gender equality.
You will be an experienced equality and diversity professional with strong communication, analytical and interpersonal skills. Experience of working in higher education and a knowledge of the Athena SWAN recognition scheme would be advantageous. |
