Interim Diversity Professional
Description

Currently recruiting for an Interim Diversity Professional for our central government client based in London. The department recently commissioned an independent external review on issues regarding diversity across the department There is now a piece of work which must be delivered in the next three months to manage the immediate steps flowing from the report and to report back to the management board on with a clear strategy and delivery plan.

You will be responsible for:
- Working with the Management Board and with staff representatives to agree recommendations flowing from the report
- Putting all steps in place for a successful "launch" of the report across the department
- Preparing a revised Diversity Strategy for the Management Board for sign off by the end of March
- Implementing a set of short term actions (overseeing the procurement and delivery of some diversity training for senior managers)

To be considered for the role you must have:
- Experience of dealing with diversity issues at a senior level within public sector, ideally central
government
- Good knowledge of the legal requirements in diversity issues, in particularly the new Equality Duties
- Strong written and oral communications skills
- PPM experience is highly desirable
- Capability in negotiation and influencing, particularly working closely with senior staff
- Ability to quickly establish relationships with stakeholders
- Be IT competent, self-sufficient and able to work without administrative support using tools
- Be able to monitor and use MI to report on trends.
